FEES POLICY 2023/2024 (subject to change)
- Fees for the 2023/24 Academic year are based on €23 per half hour lesson.
Students/Guardians will be charged in ADVANCE on a semester basis of August 28th to February 3rd, and February 5th to June 15th.
- For each additional family member, or additional instrument, the rate reduces to €22 per half hour.
- The music lesson fee may be paid in two instalments, DIRECTLY TO THE TEACHER, but in advance of lessons. This is to ensure each teacher is treated professionally (there have been numerous occasions where students have either not turned up or failed to pay).
- The Student/Guardian acknowledges and agrees that the Student/Guardian shall be liable to pay this balance, after cancellation window, in full regardless of whether the Student attends all lessons or not.
- The fee payment for the term of lessons is strictly non-refundable and non-negotiable as the MWVA is obliged to pay the Music Teacher for the number of lessons for which a student registers, EXCEPT where there is prior agreement in place with the MWVA and Teacher. There is a cancellation window of 3 weeks, from beginning of term, if paying in instalments or 6 weeks if paid in full.
- No refunds will be provided for missed lessons. For the avoidance of doubt, the MWVA regrets that refunds will not be provided where a student is absent due to illness or for any other reason.
- Where a lesson is cancelled by the Music Teacher, or the MWVA at short notice, the MWVA shall be obliged to provide a rescheduled lesson at a convenient time, or failing that, a refund will be provided.
- Payment may be made in cash, cheque or by bank transfer (see invoice for details), DIRECTLY TO YOUR TEACHER.
- Examination entry will only be made by the school once appropriate examination fee has been received in full. Your teacher will notify you of the relevant fee.
